Morgan Valencia from RKM recently performed our twice annual AC maintenance service as part of our "comfort club" annual service program.
Our two AC systems required work in June and July with the addition of a "Hard Start Kit" needed to lower the amperage draw at startup on the main unit Compressor/Condenser. The nearly 120amp startup was causing the main unit to go into lockout mode which prevented it from starting, complete shutdown. The hard start kit reduced the in rush current at startup and now starting amperage in below 80amps which has solved the lockout problem. The Daikin Mini Split had started to form mold inside the unit so we had to have a deep clean performed. This was not a procedure RKM seemed to be familiar with so we had to employ New Age Air to perform this work. New Age did a good job cleaning the system Unfortunately, this type of service work is incredibly expensive. If you have a mini-split AC unit be sure to check it periodically for mold. But, I digress, Morgan from RKM performed the semi-annual service maintenance on our 2 systems and checked the filter on the HVAC blower/air handler unit. Morgan was friendly, professional and made quick work of the service event.

Sean arrived on time and completed our A/C tune up quickly and efficiently. He reviewed his findings with me and gave recommendations for my system. He was knowledgeable and provided excellent service. I highly recommend RKM for HVAC needs.
